Christopher Kane

Just a short post telling you about my uni friends and I's venture to edinburgh last night to see Christopher Kane, in coversation with Colin McDowell. He is such an inspiring designer, and it was a real privilege to hear from him, we heard about his childhood in Scotland, his close relationship with sister Tammy, Donatella Versace and what has happened in his career up till now.
We managed to get a quick picture at the end and speak to him about where we are studying. He was so down to earth and a really nice guy - Nothing wrong with being nice.

INFERNO - Issue 1

Like I said, I have been very busy at Uni, with my Fashion Communication course, though it is now tim for me to reveal all...

In the first week of semester two, we were introduced to your communication course and the brief was revealed to what our course had to offer. Our lecturer told us that the communication course was a 'short - fat' course, which was oly six weeks long, in comparison to our other modules lasting twelve weeks.
We were put into groups of 8 and had to produc young, cool, fashionable, cutting edge magazine, that was inspired by a particular magazine that is already on the market. Our given magazine was LOVE..
Due to me being in a greneral first year, ot everyone is a fashion communication student, only 3 out of 8, though luckily everyone in my group were really enthusiastic and passionate about the magazine and were really up for being involved.

Our magazine had to have a theme, which would be your issue title, after our group had brainstormed ideas; we had chosen 'The Wet Issue' which we thought worked due to its double meaning; The weather (Scotland, always rains) + the sexual sie and connotations of the word 'wet'.
For th title of our magazine, we chose 'INFERNO' and felt that for the issue we had chosen, the contrast beween; INFERNO=Fire/Wet=Water, as a strong title. I will post the magazine as a finished piece, page by page, and I will later post the articles to allow you to read them in more detail.

Please let me know what you think, The INFERNO Team put so much work into the magazine, and are very pleased with the outcome, and hope you like it.
